Designer / CEO / Philanthropist
Cloyette Harris-Stoute is the visionary founder and CEO of ALLIYETTE, a distinguished New York-based jewelry brand. With a passion for empowering women and promoting cultural pride, her design aesthetics focus on heritage-inspired jewelry that blends craftsmanship and storytelling to celebrate identity and legacy.
Born and raised in Guyana, a country rich with Caribbean culture and traditions, Cloyette was immersed from a young age in a world where high-karat yellow gold jewelry symbolized cultural pride. The cherished custom of gifting gold to newborns and young children also played a significant role in her upbringing. Inspired by the strength and confidence of the women around her and the heirloom jewelry passed down through generations, Cloyette developed a deep passion for creating exquisite jewelry.
Cloyette refined her craft at the Jewelry Arts Institute in New York City, when she learned jewelry metalsmithing. She expanded her skills in sculptural jewelry and 3D wax carving at the Art League of Long Island and most recently deepened her knowledge of diamonds by completing Diamond Essentials and Diamond Grading courses at the Gemological Institute of America (GIA).
In 2021, Cloyette channeled her twin passions, women empowerment and jewelry and launched Twin Elegance. In 2024, her vision evolved into ALLIYETTE, a brand that beautifully embodies the spirit of heritage and fine jewelry.
Before fully dedicating herself to ALLIYETTE, Cloyette enjoyed a fulfilling career in Healthcare Information Technology, which spanned nearly two decades. Beyond her design work, she enjoys sharing inspiring stories of exceptional women from her homeland on her blog, Guyanese Girls Rock! Her commitment to philanthropy shines through the Guyanese Girls Rock Foundation, a non-profit she founded in 2018. This organization fosters mentoring and leadership development for teenage girls, offering scholarships to promising young women in both the USA and Guyana. Cloyette’s dedication to her community is further reflected in her active service on several boards.
